MRR PRESENTS GILMAN STREET RECORD SWAP FEB 8th, '09

Maximum Rock "n' Roll is hosting a number of Benefits for the magazine in the next few months ( including one with the mightier and mightier ACEPHALIX, Yellow Eyes and Morpheme January 23rd at benders) but will also be hosting the first 924 gilman street record Swap in over a year on Sunday February 8th, 2009. It's $15 for a table /Space to sell ( bring your own table if possible, they will have a limited amount of tables for use) ( email vinnie AT maximumrocknroll DOT com to reserve a space), It's Free to shop and from ten to three P.M. in the afternoon. here hasn't been one of these in eons, so I'm predicting it will be chock full of deals and cool finds! Hey maybe a good time to look through your own collection and see what you can swap in for new goods!!!

PRANK AT KZSC RECORD SWAP NOVEMBER 15TH

PRANK will be at the KZSC Radio (UC Santa Cruz Community Radio) fall record Swap on November 15th in Santa Cruz. We will be bringing a Box of Prank and distro stuff as well as rare and not so rare records of all Genres.

The sale is located at the Merrill College Cultural Center on the UCSC campus, and "there will be balloons and signs leading from the base of campus to the event." These are usually fun to come and dig, and KZSC sells off excess from it's library for 25 cents a record!

Doors open at 10 AM and ADMISSION IS FREE! The sale lasts until around 3 PM when dealers start to pack up. This sale is always is unpredicatble, but if you're in the Santa Cruz / San Jose are, worth coming to check it out!

SOCIAL CIRCKLE, NEEDLES MAY 9TH SHOW + MAY 10th PUNK RECORD SWAP IN OAKLAND!

Boston's SOCIAL CIRKLE are headed here for a show at THEE PARKSIDE1600 17th St. at Wisconsin, San Francisco, CA
on May 9th.Show is all ages and $7. SOCIAL CIRKLE have a couple of records on the Fantabulous NO WAY RECORDS. (Click through to their site and check out details for No Way's Summer fest in Richmond if you're on the East coast. )

Also on this May 9th gig are NEEDLES which is a new Bay Area supergroup featuring Jim and Bandito from TALK IS POISON and Martin and Scott from LIMP WRIST. They released an awesome 7" on Lengua Armada called " Twisted Vision" which has elements of LBAL, CRUDOS and the previous mentioned bands and is already one of this year's "Must get" records.

FIX MY HEAD from Oakland, YELLOW EYES (Which features Shane from Dead and Gone and ex-members / MD 20/20 / Santorum) are also playng and CITIZENS ON PATROL (from So. Cal.) and SOCIAL SICKNESS (from So. Cal.) will be doing a split set. I'd give Scott from needles a hard time here about the continued " too much horror business" / LIMP WRIST Urinal Themed flyer , but hey this show is his Birthday! Bring him gifts!

Then Next day /Night Negative tom is hosting a Punk record swap May 10 at a warehouse in oakland at 2515 san pablo ave From 12-6pm.

It's Free to set up and free to shop....everythings free.. "except the records."- It's free to set up and sell ( though bringing Your own table and Change is recommended), to carry in a box of records or bring in a couple of cruddy records you want to trade in.

Then that night at the same spot there's a show with:
