TOTALNA TAMA "S/T" LP IS OUT NOW!

PRANK 164

TOTALNA TAMA, from Oakland, California, detonate forceful blasts of hardcore, charred with bleak keyboards and elements of post-punk, tempered in the gloom of classic crust punk. Inventive guitar work erupts over crushing drums and powerful vocals shouted in the singer's native Croatian. Recorded by Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden, this debut album features eleven atmospheric tracks that slow and stagger to build mood and tension before exploding in intensity.

Drawing inspiration from classic UK peace punk and a dark mix of Yugoslav, Polish, and Finnish hardcore - think Siekiera, Tozibabe, Appendix, Musta Paraati, Rudimentary Peni, and The Mob - TOTALNA TAMA carve out a path of their own. Firmly rooted in the evolution of DIY hardcore in 2026, the album is emphatically political, unabashedly international, uncompromisingly direct, and deeply meaningful.
