Raging hardcore from the SF Bay area, NO STATIK's Debut 12" takes a straight forward 80's hardcore charge and detonates it with bursts of chaotic 90's hardcore rapid fire drumming, leaving Guitar leads sear and squeal out of the chaos as brutal vocals dredged and nail down dark, pointed lyrics. Six inventive blasts of thick, stop, start and rampage are on the A-side and the B-side is the title track, an experimental track that weaves the band's hardcore attack in and out of an ambient and rhythmic soundscape.

Vocalist Ruby was previously in MOMENTO MORI and SCROTUM GRINDER. Guitarist Mark was in LOOK BACK AND LAUGH and DESTROY!. Drummer B was in SCHOLASTIC DETH and END OF THE CENTURY PARTY. Bassist Robert was in ARTIMUS PYLE, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? and is in CONQUEST FOR DEATH. The band previously released a debut 7" on IRON LUNG RECORDS, which sold through two pressings in a matter of weeks.

The recording enhances the EP's enigmatic sound, an echoey quality similar to 80's European hardcore EP's but recorded by Jeff Leppard ( VOETSEK, ACEPHALIX) at San Francisco's Lennon Studios, balances out with the crispness of a modern recording. A five song 12" EP that fires a punishing volley of metallic riffs, explosive drumming and gravel-raked vocals, Tokyo's long running hardcore band CROW alternate between a long One track A-side of thundering dirge and a B-side of four tracks of unleashed, non stop hardcore fury. Issued in Japan in 2008 on CROW's own Crow records label, this received miniscule distribution stateside and has absolutely Burly cut'n'paste cover art by Crow's Vocalist, so was re-issued as a deluxe 12" picture disc for their recent U.S. Shows and appearance at Austin, Texas's "CHAOS IN TEJAS" festival. Dark and bleak hardcore cornered in metallic rock, but thundering with determined intent. Fueled by the upbeat energy of Japanese hardcore, but drawing longer mid tempo compositions of shouted despair, pounded drum beats and screaming guitars influenced by UK bands such as Antisect and Amebix, the EP includes a rollicking cover of Amebix's "No Sanctuary." Crow has been on and off the hardcore scene for almost two decades, with numerous releases in Japan. This was their first US release in 2001, recorded in Oakland at Polymorph Studios and has been out of print for over six years, with cover art and design by Carl Auge of His Hero Is Gone and Drain the Sky. The Cover has been re-worked for this re-release and the EP issued on limited to 400 red vinyl.

Bombastic crust-metal from Tokyo, an ultra brutal lightning attack of searing riffs, wild solos, screaming vocals and crushing rhythm section. Bleak intent and searing metallic mayhem, CROW have dotted the landscape of Japanese hardcore punk since its inception and just seem to get more devastating with age!! This is a slightly altered and remastered version of their first full length / second LP since the 1980's with 9 tracks that were originally released by Prank in 2007. Some of the songs are intense re-recorded versions of some of their classic tracks (including their Signature track "Give Up All Hope" that has been covered by numerous bands including the UK"s legendary Doom) as well as new recordings of songs from their recent ultra- limited Japanese releases. This is the official vinyl release of this LP, which was released as a CD-only on the Mangrove label in Japan. The LP sequence has slight variations in both track listing and mixes. CROW are touring in California and appearing at the "Chaos in Tejas" Festival in May. 1000 made / available for a limited time only.

Six tracks of rampaging noise! Torrential waves of guitar distortion blast as vocals shout and swirl through the burning chaos, fueled by rapid fire drumming and thundering bass charges. This San Francisco band makes an explosive combination of Japanese-styled noisy hardcore ( KURO, GAI, CONFUSE, DISCLOSE) and heavy early 80's Finnish Hardcore influences - ( KAAOS, BASTARDS, KANSAN UUTISET ), with lyrics sung entirely in Japanese by a Tokyo Transplant and Japanese- American. MORPHEME's debut solo release after a quickly sold out demo tape and recently released a split 7" EP with Nagoya Japan's DCLONE, Recorded by Greg Wilkinson at Ear Hammer studios in Oakland, it captures the bands wild live delayed vocal effects and distorted attack. Comes in a hard pocket sleeve with an insert.

Prank has not updated it's website with the new stuff yet because We sold out of the new Gauze 12" in record time on the basis of sending out a message on our Yahoo group ( where new prank releases are always announced first in a bulk email) and a few internet posts. This record is currently being re-pressed.


WORLD BURNS TO DEATH " The Graveyard Of Utopia" is also currently sold out at Prank, but available at all of those places and more. WB2D thank everyone who showed up at their Shows in Europe, and we're now working on both a japanese and european version of their new LP.

Remarkably, the Long awaited, the new and final seven song DYSTOPIA LP is finally out on LIFE IS ABUSE and available the day after Valentines Day!

Mauz has been busy with His printing company which did the recent IRON LUNG tour edition sleeves as well as the SUNDAY MORNING EINSTEINS " sannigen om Sunday Morning einsteins" LP tour edition sleeves ( which, speaking of, might finally now see release as a real LP this year, finally). Highly recommended.

Busy with this, he's been considering ending LIFE IS ABUSE, which is at this point an older label than Prank by three years ( since 1992! Prank started in 1995) so I hope this release can either 1) convince him to change his mind or 2) send the label out on a high note!!! ORDER IT FOLKS!
